Market Re-opening

The main measure to create additional liquidity on the tertiary control reserve market is market re-opening. This means that the Internet-based bidding platform of AGCS is re-opened for additional bids. Usually, such a market re-opening takes place after the close of the market (16:00 hrs). Market re-openings are possible at any time also during the office hours of AGCS.

This measure is used if the system operator assesses the bids for the next day as insufficient.

The market participants are notified in the case of market re-openings by telephone or e-mail of the time and the close, and are requested to make additional bids on the bidding platform of AGCS.

Previously submitted bids can not be changed.

Depending on the additional demand and the availability of free storage capacities, the OMV storage product
" day-ahead rates" is applied; in this manner, free storage capacities are made available for the tertiary control reserve market.
