Suspension of the Sequence of Bid Calling

The balance group coordinator is under the obligation to follow the sequence of the Merit Order List.

If the natural gas supplied cannot be distributed adequately to consumers due to bottlenecks in the grid of the balance area or other modes of transport are not possible, then the system operator has the right to take the following measures if the normal means of system control and balancing energy management are not sufficient:

Suspension of the sequence when calling tertiary control reserve bids from the Merit Order List (calling of bids depending on the geographic feed-in points);

Simultaneous calling bids for supply and demand with the option of tapping these at different locations.

In those cases in which the system operator deviates from the sequence of bid calling, the system operator is under the obligation to report within three workdays to the balance group coordinator, the disregarded balance energy providers and E-Control GmbH the reasons for not adhering to the sequence of bid calling.
