Clearing Fees
The clearing fees that are to be paid by the balance responsible party to AGCS
are fixed by E-Control GmbH.

2The chargeable unit of energy consumed corresponds to the sum of the consumed metering units on the debit side of a balance group.
3The chargeable unit of energy traded is calculated based on the total energy expenditure 4 less the consumed volume in a balance group.
4The total energy expenditure of a balance group is the sum of the debit side (energy sold [selling schedules], consumption [consumed metering units] and supplied balancing energy) – this corresponds to the sum on the credit side (energy bought [buying schedules], feed-in [feed-in metering units] and received balancing energy).
Depending on the amount and type of energy turnover in a balance group, each
balance responsible party must pay a monthly clearing fee to AGCS.
The current fees are:
- For each chargeable unit of energy consumed 2 in the balance area, EUR 0.0374 per MWh, and

For each chargeable unit of energy traded 3 in the balance area, EUR 0.001 per MWh.
